We Make It Easy to Switch!
5 Easy Steps to Switch to Silver Trust Bank
- Open a checking account at either our Smyrna or Alpharetta location
We make the opening process easy. You can make an appointment to visit a branch location or we are happy to come to you. Any banker or customer service representative will gladly walk you through the process of opening a new account.
- Discontinue using your old account
Remember that it could take up to two statement cycles for all outstanding checks and items to clear through your former checking account. During this phase we recommend destroying any unused checks, deposit slips, ATM and Debit cards.
- Establish direct deposit with your new account
Complete and send Form A to your employer so they can begin processing your payroll to your new account.
- Change automatic deposits and payments
Copy and complete Form B and use to change any automatic deposits. Don’t forget about your debit card. Copy and complete Form C to change payments. Remember to contact any vendors and provide them with your new debit card number and expiration date. To ensure all changes, you may want to print the last two months of your former bank statements.
- Close your old checking account
After all checks and debits have cleared, complete Form D and send to your former bank and your account will be closed. If there is a remaining balance, they can send it to you by check, wire or ACH credit.
